“In less than three months, Cornelissen Logistics and Polar Special – both part of Cornelissen Group – have successfully gone live with 3PL Dynamics; within scope, budget, and schedule."Leo Rouw, Manager ICT
Cornelissen Group recently switched WMS and moved to Boltrics’ WMS in the cloud. The new WMS plays an important role in the digitization strategy of the logistics entrepreneur to support the growing demand for pharma logistics.
Divided over three locations in the Nijmegen region and one in Amsterdam, Cornelissen Group provides the storage of pharmaceutical and food-related products for more than 25 companies. The demand is expected to increase as the global pharmaceutical logistics market size is expected to grow by 9.6% in the coming year.
Growth requires a technology-backed approach
With this growth, the need for traceability and the ability to meet the highest quality requirements and high-end EDI integrations also increases. At the same time, technology-backed solutions play a key role within Cornelissen Group to improve efficiency and control costs.
Yet, their previous WMS limited them meeting new requirements. In addition, it lacked scalability, flexibility, and a short implementation time with new customers. Hence, the reason for Cornelissen Group to start the selection process for a new WMS.
Towards a WMS that can support their growth plans, offers flexibility, meets all technical and functional requirements, and has options for various wishes. Now and in the future. From pharma to e-commerce. From customs goods to value added logistics.
The choice fell on the WMS from Boltrics as it offers all the necessary functionalities out-of-the-box. From ‘regular’ WMS functionalities to specific workflows to, for example, record the process surrounding pharmaceutical logistics from start to finish.
Leo Rouw, Manager ICT at Cornelissen: “In less than three months, Cornelissen Logistics and Polar Special – both part of Cornelissen Group – have successfully gone live with 3PL Dynamics; within scope, budget, and schedule. With the Microsoft-based scalable SaaS solution supported by new hardware, self-developed EDI customer integrations, and fully GxP validated, we can confidently say that we are ready for the future.”
