Boltrics has successfully completed its SOC 1 Type I examination, marking an important step in the continued strengthening of its internal controls and governance. At the same time, it underlines the ambition to support logistics service providers worldwide with reliable technology and demonstrably controlled processes.

SOC 1 provides insight into the design and implementation of controls that may be relevant to customers’ financial reporting. The positive SOC 1 Type I report therefore represents an important step in Boltrics’ continued professionalization and provides customers and their auditors with additional insight into the control of processes at their software provider.

Higher standards for reliability

For logistics organizations, insight into the controls of their software providers is becoming increasingly important. This is driven not only by laws and regulations, but also by customers, auditors, and other stakeholders placing higher demands on the reliability of outsourced processes.

The successful completion of the SOC 1 Type I examination aligns with Boltrics’ vision of supporting logistics service providers with a future-proof, cloud-based software platform. A platform in which innovation, reliable process controls, and information security are structurally embedded. In doing so, Boltrics continues to build on its promise to keep customers up to date at all times and relieve them of as much of the burden surrounding technology and compliance as possible.

“The logistics sector is digitalizing at a rapid pace. Large transport companies, international logistics organizations, and global enterprise customers are placing increasingly high demands on governance, compliance, and the demonstrable reliability of their software partners. With the positive SOC 1 Type I report, we demonstrate that we invest not only in innovation, but also in the quality and control of our organization. This gives our customers worldwide the confidence to build business-critical processes on Boltrics.”

Next step: SOC 1 Type II

With the successful completion of the SOC 1 Type I examination, Boltrics has reached an important milestone. At the same time, this is not the end of the journey. Over the coming months, Boltrics will continue working toward a SOC 1 Type II report.

“With the SOC 1 Type II process, we want to demonstrate over a longer period that our security measures, monitoring, and internal controls are not only properly designed, but also operate effectively on an ongoing basis. This provides customers with additional insight into how we organize areas including information security, availability, and internal control. We are fully confident that we will successfully demonstrate this over the coming months.”
– Jan Bolks, Director, Boltrics

A foundation for the future

With the positive SOC 1 Type I report and the ongoing process toward SOC 1 Type II, Boltrics is strengthening the foundation of its international services. Not as a one-off exercise, but as part of a continuous investment in quality, transparency, and trust.

This enables logistics service providers worldwide to continue relying on a single software platform that not only evolves alongside developments in the sector, but also keeps pace with increasingly stringent requirements around process control, security, and compliance.
