Rotterdam, July 7, 2026 – Thermotraffic BV has taken an important step in the continued digitalization of its logistics operations. The international cold chain logistics provider has selected Boltrics’ Warehouse Management System (WMS) as the central platform for its cold storage facilities and warehouse operations across the United Kingdom, Belgium, and the Netherlands. By implementing Boltrics, Thermotraffic is investing in greater standardization, higher data quality, and a scalable digital foundation to support future growth.
Thermotraffic provides end-to-end logistics solutions for chilled, frozen, and fresh food products, serving manufacturers, importers, and exporters throughout Europe. Operating from locations in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Belgium, the company offers transportation, warehousing, import and export services, inspection facilities, ocean freight, and value-added logistics services. Thermotraffic is part of Nichirei Logistics Group, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.
One Platform for Control, Growth, and International Expansion
By selecting Boltrics, Thermotraffic is consolidating its IT landscape into a single platform that supports international expansion, standardized processes, and improved data quality.
“Our ambition is to continue growing internationally on the foundation of a single, scalable IT platform, says Rob Haesakkers, Managing Director at Thermotraffic. “We were looking for a partner that could help us standardize our warehouse and logistics operations, strengthen our data-driven approach, and support future rollouts in a structured way. Boltrics offers a solution that matches both the complexity of our operations and our long-term growth ambition.”
Greater Visibility and Consistency for Customers
The implementation of Boltrics will further strengthen Thermotraffic’s service offering. Customers will benefit from greater transparency, more consistent processes, and improved visibility into inventory, product flows, reporting, and operational performance.
These capabilities are increasingly important in a market where food safety, traceability, flexibility, speed, and reliability continue to raise the bar. With standardized processes and better access to information, Thermotraffic will be able to manage customer agreements more consistently, respond more quickly to changing requirements, and efficiently onboard new services and locations.
Integrated Processes for a Complex Cold Chain Operation
Thermotraffic operates in a highly integrated cold chain environment where warehousing, transportation, inspections, customs processing, freight forwarding, and value-added services all work together. Managing these interconnected processes requires a platform that supports the entire logistics operation.
Boltrics brings these processes together within a single environment, creating stronger collaboration between departments and locations, improving operational visibility, and providing a solid foundation for future expansion.
“It was essential for us to choose a solution that reflects the reality of our day-to-day operations,” says Rob Haesakkers. “Boltrics understands the challenges of temperature-controlled logistics and provides the functionality our teams need while supporting the service levels our customers expect.”
Future-Proof Growth Without the Burden of IT Management
Thermotraffic has chosen a fully SaaS-based solution built on Microsoft technology. This aligns with the company’s long-term IT strategy by providing a secure, scalable, future-ready platform that is always up to date.
“A fully SaaS platform within the Microsoft ecosystem gives us the confidence that we can continue to adapt to new developments,” Haesakkers explains. “It allows us to build a future-proof digital foundation without IT management becoming a distraction from what matters most: serving our customers and delivering high-quality logistics services.”
Empowering Key Users to Drive Agility
Beyond technology, Boltrics’ implementation approach also played an important role in Thermotraffic’s decision. The company will establish a centralized key-user team that can independently manage, optimize, and further develop business processes. This increases organizational autonomy while reducing dependency on external support.
“The opportunity to work with a strong central key-user team was an important factor for us,” says Haesakkers. “We want to respond more quickly to changing business needs without relying on external support for every process adjustment. That makes us more agile for our customers and helps us integrate new locations and services much more efficiently.”
Boltrics is equally enthusiastic about the partnership. “Thermotraffic has a clear vision for standardizing and scaling its international operations,” says Max van Middendorp, International Business Development Manager at Boltrics. “We look forward to building a platform together that enables teams across multiple countries to work with the same data, standardized processes, and best practices – creating a solid foundation for continued international growth.”
