Eindhoven / Turnhout, March 18 2026 – Van Rooijen Logistiek is taking the next step toward the future by selecting Boltrics’ Warehouse Management System (WMS) for its locations in Eindhoven and Turnhout. With the implementation of the WMS, scheduled to go live in September 2026, the logistics service provider aims to achieve greater control over processes, workflows, and future growth while simultaneously benefiting from the system’s rich functionality.

Nearly 80 years of logistics expertise in the Benelux

Van Rooijen Logistiek is a family-owned business, founded in 1947 and has grown into an established name within the Benelux. With over 600 employees, approximately 230 vehicles, and four storage locations in Eindhoven and Turnhout, the organization has more than 125,000 m² of warehouse capacity.

Van Rooijen Logistiek specializes in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), including confectionery, food products, consumer electronics, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, displays, and personal care products. To provide optimal support to its customers, Van Rooijen offers value-added services in addition to warehousing and transportation.

Autonomy as a strategic choice

In a 3PL market where speed and flexibility are key, Van Rooijen Logistiek wanted a platform that enables direct control and allows them to easily make adjustments to their logistics processes.

“We wanted a WMS that would allow us to customize processes and workflows ourselves,” says Vincent Faassen, Operations Director at Van Rooijen Logistiek. “With Boltrics’ WMS, we’re in the driver’s seat. This gives us the flexibility we need to serve existing customers exactly as they wish and quickly onboard new customers. The system allows us to configure workflows on a per-customer basis, enabling it to operate according to a standard process with customer-specific exceptions.”

Rich functionality and IT manageability were decisive factors

Following an extensive selection process in which multiple WMS vendors were compared, another decisive factor was the industry-specific depth of the existing functionalities within the WMS. Boltrics is developed for and by more than 400 logistics service providers worldwide. That practical experience translates into comprehensive, proven workflows that are immediately applicable to Van Rooijen’s logistics operations.

“Many processes that are important to us were already included in Boltrics’ WMS,” said Faassen. “That gave us confidence that we wouldn’t need complex custom solutions. And it helps keep our IT landscape manageable and further standardize processes across multiple locations.”

Cloud Strategy and Collaboration as Prerequisites

With the new WMS, Van Rooijen is transitioning to a full SaaS solution built on Microsoft Dynamics 365, ensuring that updates and further development occur automatically.

“We wanted to avoid facing another major upgrade in a few years,” says Faassen. “With Boltrics’ WMS solution, we stay up to date and can keep pace with market developments.”

In addition to technology, the partnership played a key role in the decision-making process. According to Faassen, there was a clear alignment in terms of approach: “Boltrics’ working methods and experience in logistics services were a good fit for our organization. We also believe in organizing as much as possible around existing solutions and continuing to improve from there. That gave us confidence in the long-term partnership.”

With the go-live in Eindhoven and Turnhout, Van Rooijen Logistiek is taking the next step in the further digitization and professionalization of its warehouse operations.
