Boltrics meets EU data protection requirements and best practices

Boltrics has successfully demonstrated compliance with the Data Pro Code. The independent and accredited auditing body SCOPE Europe granted Boltrics the Data Pro Certificate – or Data Pro Verified label – on September 9, 2024. This certificate demonstrates Boltrics’ compliance with EU personal data protection requirements and best practices, the Data Pro Code, and recognizes our commitment to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.

Data Pro Certificate

The Data Pro Code is an approved and legally valid GDPR Code of Conduct under Article 40 GDPR. It is an initiative of NLdigital, the industry association of ICT suppliers, and has been approved by the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

As a software supplier, we are committed to the highest data protection and information security standards. Obtaining the Data Pro Certificate is confirmation of our efforts to ensure the privacy and security of your data.

SCOPE Europe

SCOPE Europe serves as an independent body that monitors compliance with the Data Pro Code and grants certification to compliant organizations. It is the European leader in the ecosystem of accredited GDPR verification bodies, specializing in providing solutions to help companies meet regulatory challenges in the EU.

Data Pro Register

With successfully obtaining the Data Pro Certificate, Boltrics is now included in SCOPE Europe’s Public Register, where our customers and partners can verify our compliance with strict data protection requirements. Data processors included in the Data Pro Register have fulfilled their obligations under the Data Pro Code, underscoring their efforts in accountability and their commitment to transparency and trust. The member companies have completed a compliance assessment conducted by SCOPE Europe.

ISO certification

The Data Pro Certificate is (within the EU) an alternative to an ISO certification but can also be used alongside an ISO certification. Data Pro Code is different from the ISO27001 standard. ISO27001 is (also) an international standard. Yet, it does not zoom in on a contractor’s role as a processor within the meaning of the GDPR and does not distinguish between personal data and other data. Moreover, this standard focuses on only one aspect of the GDPR, namely data security. ISO 27701 specifically focuses on establishing a Privacy Information Management System within the existing Information Security Management System. It is an additional certification on top of 27001. ISO 27701 is aimed at both processors and data controllers within the meaning of the GDPR and is intended to complement ISO 27001. Data Pro Code focuses specifically on the role as a processor and goes broader than just data security.
