Faster. More efficient. Smarter. As a logistics service provider, you consciously work in top gear. Time is the most valuable resource you have. And that means you have to adjust your processes to that. Integrations help you minimize repetitive input work. No more manual actions, but having your system do the work for you. You can do so with integrations based on EDI. Or API. However, Boltrics also realizes integrations based on Artificial Intelligence in no time. Sometimes, even within a day! And the beauty of it? These integrations run through our DataHub platform too. Are you ready for it?
What is Boltrics’ DataHub platform? A recap!
DataHub is the integration Platform of Boltrics: a cloud-based platform to organize, manage, and processes dataflows. It offers users the possibility to automatically process data in their systems or their customers’. Do you want to learn more about DataHub? Click here to discover the possibilities >>
Integrate Artificial Intelligence in your logistics processes
AI is booming. From chatbots to recommendations on your Netflix account. And from purchase predictions to business integrations. And, by using Microsoft Azure Applied AI Services in our module Customs & Logistics Integrations, we adopt these AI innovations in your logistic software too. From automatically linking pdf files to orders in 3PL Dynamics, to directly changing statuses when a document is captured. Thanks to AI, we can capture any document and automize the follow-up process in your software. And the number of new flows keeps growing.
Set up an integration in no time: the do’s and don’ts
Setting up an integration is one. But realizing an integration quickly and efficiently is two. That requires preparation and a good overview of your processes. For example, in what way do you want to capture documents? Via DataHub, we can easily (and safely!) integrate with your Office 365 mailbox. Or maybe, you want to capture documents via an S/FTP folder. Read the do’s and don’ts below and show up at the start well-prepared.
Do: categorize documents
When creating a flow via the module Customs & Logistics Integrations, it is important to categorize all the documents you are going to capture with the integration. Then, make sure to share five examples per category to train the Applied AI Services and test the integration.
Do: work step by step
Work structured and be prepared. For example, do you want to update information via a PDF file and add the file as an attachment? Then, first, make sure the file is added to the right document. Clearly describe the position of the value on the pdf which relates to the field in 3PL Dynamics. Is the file added successfully? Then, you can start working on updating or adding changes to the document.
Don’t: prevent last-minute changes
Make sure to not make any last-minute changes to the way you want your system to handle the documents. Create a clear process before the start of the project, including the location of the data from the attachments.
Tip: Mark the data on your example documents and add descriptions about how the data is used.
Don’t: Do not get distracted by exceptions
Do not waste too much time on documents you receive only once in a while. Use your precious time on documents that cross your desk often and take up too much time in your process. Exceptional documents can always be added later!
